Discuss the following statements.

  1. How often do you watch television? Which are your most and least favourite TV programmes? What are the   good points about TV? What are the bad ones?
  2. “Television is chewing gum for the eyes”. Do you sometimes watch television because you have nothing better to do? Is television addictive?
  3. How many hours a day is television on in Spain? How many different television channels do you have? What is the difference between them?
  4. What time do you usually watch TV? How many hours a week do you watch TV? Do you prefer watching the official channels or the private ones?
  5. Do you have a portable DVD? What are portable DVDs advantages? If you don’t have one, would you like to?
  6. Have you ever watched films or documentaries on the Internet? Can you mention any websites where you have?
  7. Do you still use your video recorder? What for?
  8. Do you like watching TV on your own or accompanied? What kind of programmes do you like watching with someone? Why?
  9. In your opinion, what are the most watched TV programmes these days?
  10. Would you have any arguments at home with other members of the family who would like to see something different? Which choice of programmes would cause the arguments?
