ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS :

1. Positive aspects of computers in our daily life: - Thanks to them we’ve got: TV, planes, mobile phones, CD, space travel. - Cook our food, play our music, protect us from harm.

2. What would happened without them? - - No business, modern society would collapse, he won’t be able to start his car.

3. Why does he get mad and destroys the laptop: - Computers are slow, petulant, bad-tempered, living in a permanent state of PMT, no sense of ambiguity. - Pc closed down, he lost information and he gets furious at the messages he receives back from the computer about not having done things properly.

4. How does he compares working as a journalist back in the 50’ to present day routines? - Very backward because to get your article pressed you had to dictate it on the phone, a secretary would type it, a corrector go through it, sent it to the layer editor, then to the printers, etc. - Nowdays is almost instant and autonomous.

5. Now, on the second part of the video we have information about “Colossus” the real first electronic computer in history. ¿What was it built for? ¿And how did it become vital in II World War? - To decipher German coded messages. - Save lots of lives as enemies’ military plans were intercepted.

6. Why was Colossus so big? - Because a computer is based on switches and the switches were big bulbs. It needed a lot bulbs so it needed plenty of room.
